This was an immersive psychological legal thriller that kept me second-guessing and questioning everything. I was hooked on the suspense from the start and I absolutely loved the courtroom drama (it felt like I was part of the gallery in the scenes where the defense were cross examining the experts and contesting their statements). The anticipation to find out what the verdict and who the real killer was kept growing with each chapter and the different POVs, and I loved every second of it.

I'm definitely going to be reading this series from the start! I loved Eddie Flynn's character, and I'm so curious about his past.

Fantastic thriller! One of my favourites that actually had a satisfying ending. I found the sense of ‘evil’ in one character a bit MUCH (cartoony almost?) but otherwise absolutely fantastic

When I saw the blurb for this book I was immediately intrigued. Two sisters on trial, accusing each other of murdering their father.

I loved that this story was told mostly from the point of view of the lawyers representing each sister, with some chapters interspersed from the true killer. I think this story was paced well and the parts were broken up well. The courtroom drama felt very authentic, and I learned in the acknowledgments that Steve Cavanagh was a lawyer.

This was definitely a very gripping story and I was on the fence the whole time about who really killed Frank Avellino. In the end, I think justice was served!

Thank you Atria and NetGalley for the eARC!

When two sisters are both charged with murdering their father, what happens? You get a gripping, edge of your seat crime procedural with lots of twists and lots of drama. This was the first Eddie Flynn novel that I've read, but it certainly won't be the last! This was fast paced, and super enjoyable.
