I love these characters and this universe. I devoured all three books in two days

There are a lot of things I really loved about this book, but ultimately the ending and the relationship dynamic really didn't work for me. The ending of the book felt like it snuck up on me, and Jesse & Lily-Grace felt like they got serious too fast (extravagant gift-giving just isn't something I go for, and I wouldn't have been comfortable with that level of gift that early in a relationship, which may be a big part of it). I liked Jesse's story & Lily-Grace's story on their own, and even their story together sometimes, but found myself disconnected from them other times. I just don't think this book was for me, but Rebekah Weatherspoon does write extremely well and compellingly, so I still had a decent time with it.

A pleasant visit with the Pleasant family. Loved Jessie's emotional and psychological evolution

I adored this book. These two are grown ass adults with grown ass issues. They talk and get to know one another. There are some bumps but it isn’t the have a conversation problem.
