I came so close to DNFing this one but every time I'd think about doing it something kept tugging me along. It wasn't exactly that bad of a story but it just lacked the thrills and excitement to be memorable or not bore you to death.
Then I didn't care for any of the characters. Not one and I need a character to "pull for " or be emotionally connected to, at least, but none of these gave me anything. The ending was fairly predictable. I knew pretty much how that was going to play out from the start but there were a few surprises tossed in that kept me reading.
Over all I found it okay. I don't regret reading it at all but it's just not one that will stick with me.

The writing was good and the premise intriguing. I zoned out a few times, but the last ten or so chapters were exciting.
There were too many POVs, and they all didn’t seem necessary. I feel the book could have gotten by with just Adele, Angeline, and Blake’s POV, and they could have provided insight into other characters (Blake watching Malinka’s live streams, Angeline listening to Harley’s podcast, etc). Maybe one Maverick POV chapter to get the Chloe backstory?
I kept waiting for Miller’s disappearance to be more than met the eye. When it wasn’t, it seemed like an unnecessary plot point. Adele could have just gone through a bad divorce and had the same character arc.
