Really entertaining, with that edge-of-your-seat feeling as you wonder what’s about to happen to the characters. Overall, an enjoyable read with good intrigue and well-written characters. I even liked the conclusion.
That being said, the pacing wasn’t my favourite. The little flash-forward scenes throughout took away from the action at the end. I listened to the audio version, so I found those scenes particularly confusing at times. Because they were spaces throughout the build-up, it felt a bit like the actual “final battle” scene/adventure game wasn’t fully hashed out.
