2 1/2 stars rounded up. I like the storyline pretty well, but there were a lot of characters- sort of hard to keep them straight, and several storylines. It was unrealistic and was a bit heavy in the women power theme. Lisa Unger is hit or miss with me, I’d say it’s a miss.

This was an easy beach read. Interesting plot, but a little predictable.

A fun (if incredibly predictable) story, marred by some confusing passages, unnecessarily lampshaded website names (can you not just say YouTube? Must it constantly be disguised with a wink as WeWatch?), a heavy-handed commentary about influencer culture that fails to tick the landing, and a very forced eleventh-hour romance . A solid vacation read despite its flaws, but decidedly less than its premise promised.
Close Your Eyes and Count to 10 is a great locked-room style thriller with the unique setting of an abandoned hotel and an intense game of hide and seek. The social media aspect of the story was woven in really well and made it all the more real/believable in today's world. I once again commend Lisa Unger for leaving me hanging, although some parts of the 'big reveal' were a bit predictable I was hooked from the beginning and really enjoyed the book.
