Even though it was mostly predictable and I got bored in a couple parts- it also made me cry several times. Glad I read it, but not my favorite book.
This book is just heartbreaking. Great story, but it will leave you feeling empty.

This novel, much like his other novels, raises you up, breaks your heart, repairs it, then tears you down and leaves you clamoring for a warm blanket and some ice cream to comfort yourself. I made the mistake of finishing this book in a public place, but that didn't stop the waterworks!
I will not spoil this, but if you're worried about reading this one because you know very little about boats, don't worry, they only skim over boating information. What's really important here is the relationships, how they're made, how they're transformed and the ending.
If you feel like you need a good cry, I wholeheartedly recommend this book!

At first, I thought this book was really lame. The plotline seemed flimsy and the characters seemed annoying to me. Boy, did my opinion change. By the middle of the book, I couldn't put it down. It picked up and got cuter and cuter until the end. I'm not even going to lie; I cried like a baby at the end. I didn't see what happened with Garrett coming at all, and it caught me more off-guard than a book has in a long time. Being a seasoned reading vet, I can usually pick up on and predict what's going to happen, but I was blindsided by his. In the end, I absolutely adored this book. Even though it's one of those "it's-better-to-have-loved-and-lost-than-never-to-have-loved-at-all" books, and I usually don't go for those kinds of books, I am smitten with this one. I'm so glad I bought it so that I can read it again and again.
