Broken people finding peace with each other

Another lovely disabled FMC, Mona, is trapped by aliens that have nefarious plans for her. Bhihan finds her when she’s escaping via the outside of a spaceship. He has sworn never to take a mate and she’s been through ALL the trauma and, understandably, has some serious trust issues.
I was worried this would have the “angry black woman” trope, but I thought Mona was the right mix of fierce and soft to avoid that. I’ve enjoyed that these books have disabled FMCs but they aren’t only damsels in distress. The fact that their disabilities make life as a captive difficult is not glossed over, but they aren’t completely helpless.

Another great one

I love strong female leads I love Mona she is like my spirit animal now. So strong and courageous and poor Bhihan I just want to wrap him up and keep him. I love this series!
