this is one of the most special books i’ve read. having an autistic female main character is so refreshing. it felt like reading a diary many times - my copy is dog eared so much it’s hard to find a page that’s not, because of how much i related to her feelings and thoughts. it’s laugh out loud funny, lighthearted, yet also so deep and emotional. the ending is perfection, the foreshadowing is genius, and the character arc is beautiful.
Cassandra is somehow gifted with the ability to time travel, and she uses the power to un-muck her life. I love Cassandra, and wish I could take her under my arm and tell her things will be okay, because as a character she’s absolutely delightful and I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know her through her journey. This author did such a beautiful job describing how neurodivergent people experience feelings, and thoughts, and events.
Tiresome. I slogged through the book. I knew the twist really early on. I couldn’t wait for the book to end.
I liked that the main character was unflinchingly neurodivergent. Cassandra didn’t feel like a ND character written through a neurotypical centered lens. She was just herself.
Cassandra’s time traveling efforts and focus eventually makes her feel like a stalker. She doesn’t particularly like her ex but treats him like an object she needs to attain and hold on to. Because of her manipulation their interactions feel uncomfortably non-consensual.
I listened to the book and the narrator did an excellent job. Lots of different voices and accents that made the characters really distinct from each other.

This book did not need to be this long. Additionally, I fully am on the same side with all the characters in the book dinging the MC grating, hypocritical, and self-centered.
I save one star for books I DNF or absolutely HATED, but if it was an option I would’ve rated this a 1.5. I struggled hard to finish it and wanted to quit so many times, but I challenged myself to get through it. This book was just lacking in every area so I don’t think I’ll be putting any of this author’s future books on my to-read list.

it was interesting but the ending felt a little lackluster and predictable to me.
