I'm having so many ups and downs with this series. I'm enjoying the emotional depth of Persephone and Hades and the development of their relationship. I like Smythe's attempt to bud a fuller world around them but I find that the inclusion of so many characters takes away from the central story which I always want to get back to. I feel like I'm just going through to get to the end but there's a lot here that I'm enjoying as well.
I've loved this series ever since I saw it on webtoon. I was so excited when she started publishing. The artwork is just as stunning as it is digitally and you get the bonus sketches at the end of the book that shows behind the scenes. I love any Hades and Persephone retelling and will probably buy or read them all. I love the unique spin on all of the greek gods and the story is quite fun to read.

Still sooo frustrated that this whole Apollo plot isn’t dealt with already. I need people to know what he did and he needs to be punished !! Daphne was a great one in this volume 💛 so was Hades as per usual!! The threat to Zeus ?? 🥵
