So one of the truly ridiculous things about trying to modernize mythological beings?
Zeus here ACTUALLY cares about getting justice when the old Zeus from antiquity would've just zapped the offender in a classic smiting. Sure this might be a rigged kangaroo court, but at least he's willing to put up appearances.
Series continues to pump up more relationship fluff, more drama (this time from other parties besides the main duo), and strangely enough, Persephone going to therapy to try & get some clarity on her baggage. The last half of the book tho? Big ol courtroom drama with Pinky getting tried for "undocumented acts of wrath" as well as maybetrying to take over the Underworld? How's that for a last page reveal?! But again, this being a rigged ordeal from the onset, this might be just planted evidence or some other chicanery.

Smythe must REALLY love Hecate because any time she shows up, her expressions are just gut-bustingly hilarious. Even better in that she finally dons her triple-faced aspect and she can do multiple expressions!
