read it was a sad and wonderful ride. almost cry A BUNCH of times (and i listen to it at work, so no could do).
jude deserves the world, he had a really hard time and still he didn't get it poison him. what a great guy.
the only reason i gave it 4stars instead of 5 is bc the drugdealers that came to him looking for the drugs didn't made a lot of sense to me in the story. but besides it it was a GREAT BOOK.

I'm a new fan of Sarina Bowen after reading bittersweet, which is Griffins book. I was excited to see book 2 about Jude released so soon and scooped it up. That being said bittersweet is still my favorite. I felt the pacing to be a little off as some parts seemed to drag and others seemed to skip over pertinent parts.
I enjoy Jude but Sophie felt a little flat to me. I wish they would have explored more of her relationship with her brother instead of focusing how mean he was to Jude. To me Garett felt like a throwaway character we were just supposed to automatically hate and not look to closely at. In the end when everything is brought to light I wish the author would have gone a little more in depth about everything instead of fast forwarding especially since the book was leading up to this point.
I also felt there was a little two much back and forth as if they were still in Hs. I think they both have some growing up to do. Though I did enjoy some of the flashbacks to how they got together some I felt were a little useless.
I loved seeing more of Jude and the hospital seen broke my heart as he worked so hard. I will say I didn't like how towards the end *spoiler* he wasn't driving and his conviction was overturned *end spoiler* I felt like the character had come a long way and owned up to his mistakes for it to just be tossed aside was a bit of a let down for me.

Much darker than the first one-- adored this almost as much as the first, but definitely not the same in tone or feeling.
Der erste Teil von True North fand ich trotz kleiner Schwächen wirklich toll und auch ihre anderen Bücher fand ich einfach klasse. Ich habe mich also schon sehr auf den zweiten Teil gefreut.
Jude hat während der Hauptsaison auf der Shipley Farm ausgeholfen und kehrt danach in seinen Heimatort zurück. Dort trifft er auch Sophie, die Frau, die er geliebt hat und immer noch liebt. Doch er trägt die Schuld am Tod ihres Bruders und doch empfindet auch Sophie immer noch sehr viel für Jude. Die beiden kommen sich näher, auch wenn die Vergangenheit sie immer mehr einholt.
Jude hat vor vielen Jahren alles verloren. Seine Freiheit, seine Zukunft und auch die Liebe seines Lebens. Er ist zwar ein verurteilter Verbrecher und kämpft gegen seine Drogensucht, aber genau diese Schwächen haben ihn nur authentischer gemacht. Er ist ein Kämpfer, der sich nicht so schnell unterkriegen lässt. Er will einen Neuanfang und seine Vergangenheit hinter sich lassen. Auch wenn er vieles getan hat, was er bereut, so hat er doch ein gutes Herz.
Sophie war immer das gute Mädchen und außerdem auch die Tochter des Sheriffs. Auch sie will nicht aufgeben und liebt Jude, trotz seiner Taten in der Vergangenheit. Sie musste ihre Träume aufgeben und versucht irgendwie den Rest ihrer Familie zusammen zu halten. Durch Jude lernt sie auch, was im Leben wirklich zählt und wie wichtig es ist für die zu kämpfen, die man liebt.
Beide Charaktere waren so voller Tiefe und durch den Sichtwechsel hat man auch einen tollen Einblick in ihr Wesen bekommen. Sie waren stark, sympathisch und man konnte ihre Handlungen und Gedanken wirklich nachvollziehen. Ich habe mitgefiebert und wurde mitgerissen von dieser wundervollen Liebesgeschichte zwischen zwei absolut unterschiedlichen Protagonisten.
Man trifft auch auf Charaktere, die man im ersten Teil kennen gelernt hat und vorallem von den Shipleys bin ich ein großer Fan.
Es war etwas düsterer und ernster als ihre anderen Geschichten, aber genau das hat dieses Buch zu etwas besonderem gemacht. Es gibt immer einen Wechsel zwischen der Gegenwart und der Vergangenheit. Dadurch wurde das ganze nur noch spannender und hat den Lesefluss in keinster Weise gestört.
Ich war absolut begeistert vom Schreibstil und der Geschichte von Jude und Sophie. Ich konnte einfach nicht aufhören zu lesen und habe das Buch in einem Tag verschlungen. Es war dramatisch, romantisch, spannend und erotisch. Es war von der ersten Seite an packend und ist eines meiner absoluten Lieblingsbücher der Autorin.
Insgesamt war 'Schon immer nur wir' ein wundervolles Buch. Vertrauen, Lügen, Spannung, Tiefe Gefühle, Liebe und Mut. All das und noch viel mehr spielen in diesen Buch eine große Rolle und es war schon ein kleines Highlight. Ich freue mich schon sehr auf den dritten Teil.

I quite enjoyed their story; I am not always a fan of the past and present in books. This being one of those times, but I am glad we got to have their backstory.
Jude is really going through a hard time. But I have to say I am glad it wasn’t all depressing. Like when he was wallowing, he never did that, he was making plans and following through no matter how hard it was.
I also very much liked seeing him struggle with his addiction, if that sounds mean it’s not meant to. I just mean sometimes authors make addiction fluffy. I liked that he struggles throughout that’s realistic. Because it’s never going to be gone for him. And both he and Sophie are going to have to deal with it.
This story had me wanting more. I did find the ending to be a little rushed but all books can’t be 50000 pages. ;)
The narration was good, I felt Jude's voice was a little old and announcerish for me. Though Sophie's narration was Perfection!
