Soooo much better than book one in the series. I just loved every second of it! Sarina is an amazing author. ❤️ Her!
I ended up liking this a lot more than I thought I would, mostly because I think I ended up liking Jude a lot more than I thought I would. I liked the romance fine, but I was mostly into it for him and his character development.
But, I did like this a lot. I always super love the appearance of the Shipleys, too. I love everyone in this farmhouse.

I thought it wasn't necessary at all for it to come out that he wasn't driving that night, and that it maybe actually took away from his redemption arc. But, I did like this a lot. I always super love the appearance of the Shipleys, too. I love everyone in this farmhouse.
What an absolutely beautiful story about addiction, love, and second chances. I loved everything about this book. We got to see both sides of addiction - the addict and the family/friends of an addict. There were so many parts of this story that broke me and pulled me back together. Jude was such an amazing lead character. I listened to the audiobook version of this story and it was really well done. I was hoping for more cameos from our lead characters from book 1, but understand why they weren't important to highlight in this story.
This was such a sweet romance that really hit a little bit close to home. ❤
The fact that Jude is my fave guy in this series goes a long way to explaining several of my issues...
But damn I love Jude.
(Maybe more of a 3.5 star book tho)

Ahhh, Jude’s story was a little more angsty that Griffin and Audrey’s but it’s to be expected with the weight of his past. We still get a good dose of Shipley warmth to even out the darker elements of Jude and Sophie’s story. A second chance romance that proves that love can conquer all!

sarina bowen is a great author for when you want to read something that isn’t too heavy but still has such heart. this was a super sweet second chance romance, and i love the small town setting of the series. a quick and easy read to get you out of a reading slump too!

A bittersweet second-chance romance I didn't expect I would love so much! I'm personally not a huge fan of a bad boy-good girl romance, but I didn't mind that the focus of the romance was on their present relationship.
I started this series with this first, and so when it was revealed that, I was wondering how is Sarina Bowen going to convince me that this couple is going to have a happy ending? With all the odds stacked against them?
This romance was so well-executed. From the convincing dialogue, chemistry down to the flawless pacing (the ratio between Sophie and Jude's history to their present was just right) and rich, expansive world! It was such an enjoyable read and the angst didn't weigh it down too much. So much love for Bowen's writing and this world she created.

Wow, what a second book!!
This book was better than the first in the series! I absolutely devoured it in a few hours! It was heart-wrenching and scorching all at once. I’m glad they got their HEA bc they went through hell!! Jude was intriguing in the first book so I was looking forward to learning more about him, but the way the author describes his trials with addiction and his cravings blew my mind. I felt so bad for him! Loved this book!!
