I really like this one and couldn't put it down, I've read all 3 books that are currently out and am waiting for the next one. Lots of action and drama with the bad guys being just horrible. The gifted give me X-men-type vibes making this a lot of fun. Has a strong female lead that you want to keep rooting for.

Reread 2023:

Next guys she bonds with are

• The Dark One. The cold, controlling man who apparently was looking forward to bonding with her and that's why he felt really betrayed when she ran but now thinks that she had good reason for running. Hmmm.

• The Everlasting One. The one who's been supportive to her since the beginning and the one who's only priority is her. Apparently has ties to the Resistance but has forsaken his family by choosing her.

Definitely a lot more action and a better pace in this book. Her reason for running was also explained and I liked her better in this book after finding out what she has endured. I am a little weirded out by her bond which is a whole different entity living inside her. This entity also refers to itself as a god and views Oli as the "casing". Apparently, Nox and North's bonds are similar.

The author definitely knows how to do cliffhangers because how can you not pick up the next book immediately with the ending she put on this one?

The resistance is pulling out all the stops and is capturing everyone and destroying everything in their path. There is lots of betrayal and questions of loyalty in this one. As well as her bonds being strengthened individually. Nox is still being mix of course but all her other men are slowly coming around and will do anything and everything to help her gain confidence in herself and in her bond. We really get to see her bond come out to play in this one. It’s been very interesting for oli and her guys to see her at full strength. I’m really starting to hate the resistance! I can’t wait until they get taken down and we get some peace. Much needed peace. Also can’t wait for her to be bonded to everyone, hopefully! I need more of all her bonds it’s been very action heavy the last 2 books.

this is the third book of the bonds that tie series.

after three years on the run, oli has found herself back in a resistance camp. this time, though, she has her bonds.

while this book was a bit slower-paced than the previous two, i still enjoyed it! we saw lots of secrets come to light, which is always interesting. i also think there was some character growth and i really appreciated it. can’t wait to continue this series!

there’s no way
sage is the mole
right? not really, right???????? i refuse to believe that, and quite frankly i think if she is, then it’s poor writing on the author’s part.

i’m getting a little annoyed with how often oli complains about wanting to bond but choosing not to. i don’t really understand what the resistance is trying to do because we don’t know how they plan on using oil specifically yet. and if she’s so powerful, why can’t she just kill silas and the others? like what exactly is stopping her? it feels a little like we’re going in circles.

The plot for this book feels like the same plots from the last two. I wasn’t expecting super strong writing but I was hoping for some change in the plot with the resistance and something more dramatic to happen. I felt as though they were sitting ducks the entire book until the end… which is *spoiler* where the resistance always manages to end up coming after Oli in the book - right at the end. The spiciness is there but that’s getting a little repetitive too. It may be a DNF series for me.
