At the end of book two, I was still engaged enough to keep reading, but it was more out of curiosity than genuine interest and enjoyment. But “Their Vicious Darling” finally delivered the plot development and storytelling that I've been eagerly awaiting. Winnie finds herself grappling with the menacing Neverland death shadow, all thanks to Cherry's spiteful actions. As Winnie struggles to remember what happened, her mysterious illness perplexes those around her. Meanwhile, an old acquaintance emerges as her protector, adding an intriguing layer to the unfolding events. Amidst the chaos, Vane's brother Croc arrives at Neverland, creating further tension between Hook and Pan.

This is now the second series, consisting of four books, that could benefit from condensed storytelling. While the first two books' plot felt overshadowed by the smut, I appreciated the balanced ratio of smut to plot in this installment. It's refreshing to see Winnie's relationships with each man evolve into something more than just physical, adding depth to her character arc.

The introduction of The Crocodile injects much-needed suspense and conflict into the story, enhancing the overall reading experience. As Roc and Hook take center stage, I'm eager to see how the Wendy Darling plot line unfolds and impacts the overarching story. I think I'm actually more interested in this threesome by now.

The cliffhanger, once again, is captivating enough to entice me to continue reading. However, I believe that the potential of this story remains untapped, and I do not anticipate that the next one will surpass my expectations. This one was 3.75-4 stars, so I will gladly round it up.

Someone in this comment section said there wasn't as much spice in this book in the series, and while I'm not calling them a liar...I'm not calling them a truther because it was rather peppery!

The third in this series was also deliciously spicy. The story is still lacking for me. But it's also short and sweet read. Would recommend for anyone looking for a spicy afternoon read.

E-book.
Overall, pretty good and would recommend if you've read the series and like it. I'm still a fan of the perspective shift of each chapter and the storyline is good. I feel like this series could be developed more - more details in some scenes, more context, deeper story. One more book to finish the series. I'm excited to keep reading this series, but equally excited to move on to something else.
