I loved this book, in the most disturbing way. As in, when I told my husband what the book was about and how much I loved it, he looked at me like he wanted to call the boys in white coats to come get me. This was the first dark erotic romance I read and it definitely captured me.
This shit rocked! It was dark, twisted and I turned every page... Damn good I can't wait for book TWO.

Overall I wasn't necessarily blown away by this book. I think the character's backgrounds should have been explored more and I also feel like the story itself was a bit rushed. I know it only takes place over a few days, but their relationship progression just felt rather unnatural and you kind of just had to take everything with a grain of salt. The heroine was also annoying at times. I don't know what I was expecting, but her nearl instantaneous forgiveness towards him wasn't it.
But this book definitely satisfied my mood to read something a little dark. It also didn't hurt that I have a not-so-secret crush on Dexter and that the captor in this one reminded me a bit of him.
In the end it was a good way to pass time, so a solid 3 Stars it is.
