I am not sure what it says about me and this book was way past any of my normal erotic/bdsm type reads but I totally enjoyed the book🤔 lol

This book was a scam. A scam aspecally at the ending because bye did it end like this. Also the book was extremely boring it took me 2 months to finish it.

Amazon kindle unlimited book, read for free but wanted like crazy. The synopsis that this book entails made me grab and read it. I love dark erotic stories, and this one definitely fit that bill. I always think it's silly that women go out there looking for Mr Right, and they daydream over men they meet. When this is a great example of what you may find. I enjoyed reading this and I thought the author did a great job. I just didn't feel like his turn from wanting to kill people to being with her though was enough, which lowered my rating. Overall entertainment is four stars.

I thought this book would be interesting, but the moment Kat meets Gav, he begins to change, and I quickly lost interest. That was really all that happens because everything happens at Gav’s house, where he’s keeping Kat. They trade with each other, until the end when something happens – which I didn’t like either.

This book wasn’t what I thought it would be, and once again I’m annoyed with the characters changing to be better people.

I don’t think I’m going to continue with this series.

Gosh, I don't know, this is one of those "well it's not very good but it managed to hold my attention until the end somehow" types of books. You can't be too mad at it because it more or less delivers on what it promises, but... eh...

Good stuff:

-Curvy lady as the protagonist; it takes a little while for it to become evident but it's there and it's always a nice change of pace.
-I'm here for the "ahhh ohhh nooo I'm attracted to a monster"/"ahhh ohhh nooo I'm attracted to a feisty lady" stuff and that is definitely here.
-Steamy scenes were appropriately steamy.
-I enjoy how the murderous love interest isn't mustache-twirling but instead seems to think his incredibly unhinged behavior is very sensible and he just "has" to do it.

Bad stuff:

-We're doing the golden Adonis body thing mixed with the mansion owning thing for the love interest? Blegh.
-Not fully committing to just how messed up the love interest dispensing vigilante justice by way of murdering people is. It felt bizarrely understated, perhaps because there is only one on-page death. The main character is like, "Don't kill people!" but it's more out of concern for him than anything and she doesn't question whether or not his claims about the people he's killing being abusive/pedophiles/etc are definitely true. Like, what does he know?
-The way mental illness is spoken about in this feels very cartoonish.
-Some of the literary references set my teeth on edge with how stilted they were.

So, yeah. I listened until the end, somehow. Wouldn't recommend unless you have a bunch of tedious chores to do like I did.
