I got this book for free and LOVED it. Such heartache for both characters in this story. Livvy went through hell and still came out alive is great. Gray is intense and sweet at the same time.

Have you ever read a book that you want to throw at a wall and hold close to your heart at the same time. Well, this was that book for me. I had a bit of a love-hate thing going on with this one. Half the time I wanted to choke the ever living crap out of both the H/h, Livia and Gray. The other half I wanted to hug them both close and make it all better! Gah!!! Kind of the way I felt about my kids when they were teenagers! Those of you who have or have had teens should all be nodding your heads in understanding.

Livia has a secret. A secret that cost both her and Grey everything, years before. Now that they have another chance, Livia still can’t bring herself to tell all to Gray. You get the picture here, right? Lies, deceit, and heartbreak that all could be avoided by one M*** F***ing conversation! I am a lay it all out there and let the chips fall where they may kind of girl, so you can imagine where I am going with this review. Nope, wrong! I loved it!

Why? Because, Ms. Kreig, sold it! She made me care about characters and a story that under normal circumstances, I would not. I was emotionally invested, completely engrossed, and reading at super speed to the end! That, my friends, should attest to the talent of this author. I have said it before and will say it again, Ms. Kreig has some serious skills. She creates characters you are drawn too and expertly weaves in a story of heartbreak, hope and happiness. Add in a steam factor that is off the charts and you have a winner!

This story will not only melt your panties but your heart as well! So grab your tissues and keep your BOB (or significant other) handy because you will need them both. ;)

Oh and there is a bit of a twist towards the end that had me head over heels in love. I can’t seem to resist a tatted bad-boy!!! *sighs heavily*

I really liked this book, the plot and these characters and will be reading more of the series. The book picked up toward the end, at that point they were just killing me with the back and forth! Every time she went to finally talk to him something happened, and every time he went to talk to her something happened. Like stop being stubborn and talk to each other! I really enjoyed the twist too, which I did NOT see coming and I can't wait to read Lucas's book in the series! The only down fall is that I skipped several pages/ paragraphs at a time when both main characters were saying the same thing over and over... "what is her secret?" "Can I tell him my secret?" "What if her secret tears us apart?" "What if I tell him my secret and he leaves me?" This was the internal dialogue for quite a while so the book definitely could have been shorter. Also, I realize there was a lot of miscommunication between the hero and heroine which is mostly what the whole book is about but I don't see how Gray went at times from being brooding, overprotective I'm never letting you go, to just acting like a toddler throwing a tantrum and shutting her out completely. A few low points in the story made me not love him as much.
I wish there was a half star rating because it's really deserving of that 4.5 but just couldn't bring myself to give it a full 5.

WELL THEN.
This is the second time ive had faith in a author based off of a previous read written by them.
I read black swan affair by K.L Kreig and woo ! I loved it. the story line the plot, the everything had me like

So i looked into this series of books and with these raving reviews HOW COULD I SAY NO.
Nevertheless... 50% of the book was me saying NO. Looking through all the reviews to see if anyone can relate like..

-The story line was on point.
-The romance was spotty for me
-Gray and Livia not keeping their hands to themselves was frustrating at times like YOU TWO NEED TO TALK ABOUT DEEPER ISSUES
-There was so much miscommunication
-but about 60% through I got really into it. and with a couple more shock factors I was glued in until the finale.
-I loved Grant.. Like write about him instead lol
I think my main thing was GRAY... I didnt like his charatcer.. he was arrogant, controlling, and an emotional disaster because hello THEY NEEDED TO TALK.
"Hell i want to climb inside her and live there for the rest of my days"
"He constantly has a posessive arm or hand on her. Its not lost on me thats the way i act around Livvy, but this is different"
"Its okay i own up to my caveman tendencies"

I NEED HELP LIKING THIS FUCKING CHARACTER
But i guess that's apart of the story and "beauty" of it all... to wait until 2 seconds before its done to explain? ok yeah.

All in all it was a eye roll for me half of the book and then a page turner for the other 50 so it was ok i guess. I already bought the second book because of my damn FAITH in Kreig.. and i can see its about ash :) so please let this be better :)
