I had such a fun time reading!! Right away it’s just so dang tender. Did I always understand the drama and did I feel like there were some threads I wanted to follow that got dropped? Yes. Did that take me out of it? Not at all.

Honestly, I started this book thinking I was not going to enjoy it as much as I did Pride and Protest and then all of a sudden I became in love with this book.

Not sure I've read Sense and Sensibility and the 90s(?) movie doesn't stand out clearly so I love Nikki Payne's re-tellings! This was fun and funny and sad and hopeful - A+ on the hitting the emotional buttons and for fun groups of characters/family who keep the MC's honest and humble. My only con: Even though the chapters are clearly labeled with the time, it was tough for me to keep up with the time that had passed here.

Bear! Bear! Bear!

I loved him, even with his need to always do the right thing and the self sacrificing. I loved him with my whole heart and I loved this book with my whole heart.

I wanted to protect Nora so much, especially since it's a dual POV and you know what's going on. I wanted to love them and care for them.
