I just read another very similar novel, Do You Dream of Terra-Two, because apparently what I'm really in the mood for right now is the challenges of near-future space travel. And this definitely delivered! I love Elma, who is very relatable, and I really appreciated the realistic discussions of racism and sexism. I also particularly enjoy Elma and Nathaniel's relationship - it's not often that you get to see a positive portrayal of marriage in genre fiction.
