Beautifully written. Perhaps I would have finished it if I had picked it up at a time when I was more prepared to be devastated in this quiet, haunting and deeply personal way.

it took me a long time as i bought this within the first… 6 months? of losing a friend. she captures perfectly the ceaseless repetition of phrases, stories, and memories that flood grief. the way that in grief every single thing is about them. the desire to tell everyone everything about them, all your favorite stories, all the horrible ironies, all the moments that in retrospect feel like foreshadowing of death.

Prose poem and memoir about the tragic loss of the author's young adult son. The work's form powerfully conveys how inadequate language is to the tragedy of such loss and the falling out of chronological time. I'm so grateful to have have stumbled upon this one.

Bello Bello.
