Sometimes you just want to read a vampire story. I felt like it had the potential to be be better but almost every single major event was heavily announced through foreshadowing so I didn’t even have to think about what was coming next.

It was the plot of this book that kept me going. I could not stand Isolde. I found her infuriating. There were so many things she would just say or do out of what felt like stubborn ignorance. With all that said, the plot line and other characters kept me intrigued enough to continue the series. I much prefer her Hades and Persephone series.
