Lauren Blakely's serial book continues right where we left off and takes us on an adventure. While Presley and Hunter share an intimate moment, their connection is not yet solidified. I can feel the sexual tension, but waiting to feel the chemistry they had when they were first together. These two continue their exploration of the house, finding some good things, but what is really intriguing are the letters. I am enjoying this part of the story, the adventure the grandparents are taking us on, and can't wait to see where it leads us in book 3.

The narration continues to be really enjoyable. Andi Arndt and Scott Eastwood keep us up with Presley and Hunter, but addition of Zachary Webber and Saskia Maarleveld as the grandparents is what makes this book for me.They are spot on for these roles, adding that little something to keep us interested. They really fit the parts, with a little fun in their voices, almost a teasing sense as they send us on the trek. Looking forward to the next installment.

Here's my deal:

Lauren gave us a guy to try and like. I'm having a harder time than I thought. Am I swept up in the romance, the heat, the passion? YES.

Do I like Hunter? Not really. Dude brushed off the woman he loves for 10 yrs and due to a wake up call wants her back. He isn't really planning on doing anything other than hooking up. No changes needed. No real life consequences. Broke her heart, said sorry, and let's get naked...

Is it hot and fun? YES.
Are you able overlook Mr. Eastwood's (by the way, I'm a fan of his acting) not quite there prefomance? Mostly.

Do I want to know what happens? Absolutely.
Am I in love with their love story? Not quite. I am in love with the treaure they found and would absolutely listen to more of their story to get all my answers!!!!

Andi Arndt of course NAILS this preformance.

Such a fun and cute story! This light and amusing story is perfect when you need something to listen to but don't want to go deep into something. I was rooting for them the whole time! The narration is superb as always.

This got a bit better from the first part. In my opinion Presley, despite her saying how she doesn’t want her heart to break because of how Hunter had left her the last time, is still going after Hunter even after she said to herself that she won’t let her heart break once more. For a second chance story it’s not really good because of how easily Presley forgave him just because he was touching her and Hunter just coming back into her life to get her back. He could’ve done it better like reached out to her before all this but he didn’t.

The spicy scenes were okay I was disappointed in them cause Lauren Blakely knows how to write spicy scenes that make you blush like a tomato but after they done it I would forget that they did it because I was more interested in the story of Edward and Greta despite it being a story of two ex lovers reunited after some time.

I’m gonna listen to the last part and sum everything up in that review. But so far story wise it’s not looking that good.
