I loved this book. I put off reading it because of the hype but it was very addicting and the story and characters were great. I'm not sure If I want to read Dare you to… because I wasn't a fan of Beth but I really want to read Crash into you

if I could give this book 10** I would, I loved every minute of reading this book! going straight onto Dare you to can't wait to see what Beths story is.

Actual rating: 3.5

I couldn't put this book down. It made me swoon and it made me cry.
But at the same time I found the behaviors of the characters inconsistent, the dialogues were odd, and I feel like everything was happening abruptly.

Pushing the Limits is one of the first books I read and Absolutely loved with my whole heart. I haven't read it for quite a logn while and was in the mood for it, and it suprised me in a weird way. Pushing the Limits is about Echo and Noah, both are part of this new "project" for school, where they have therapy sessions with a school counsiler (she is more then that but forgot her officle title) The both don't want it, they both struggle with different things but are brought togheter because of it, they fall for eachother while dealing with their issuses and being a teenegaer on top of it. This book is way darker then i rememberd, I probably romanticised the fuck out of their story, but me being older /better at english and having been trough therapy myself it hit me harder and heavier.

Echo deals with the memorie loss, and a slew of other mental issues with that. I forgot how toxic her friend group was how much they pushed her, hell her own family tried to shove her into this box and she let them, becasue she was scared of letting them down, of them not loving her. Beside she just wanted normal and just got stuck into it. I love the way she slowly opened up towards Noah and more poeople around her. she is still stuck with this grief over her brother, frustratend and pain with her memorie loss and she lashes out towards her stephmom, towards her farther, towars herself. She grows allot the last few chapters, and i'm glad she let herself to break free from what was holding her back.

I was more pulled towards Noah this time. He has this huge chip on his shoulder about adults and the system and how he led them and his friends down. His only goal in live is to get his brother back so they are save and don't turn out like him. It takes a long while to open up towards his therapist, and i think he only really does it the last chapter or so. He is struggeling but doesn't show or know it himself. He focuses on his goal, on echo and not on himself. He feels quilt towards loving Echo, griefing for his parents and his old live, hatefull towards the system that ripped his brothers apart. I feel that Echo made huge steps towards her recovery and Noah is just taking the first baby steps. He broke my heart more then i wanted to admitt, especially the last seen where he said he wanted a family, but his brothers had already found another. His "found" family are his rock but they also have their own issues, and i'm glad that he has some adults that he slowly is letting in.

Their realationship is about helping eachother heal, because love can't fix you, but it can help you fix yourself. And i feel that is the most important message, because they love eachother, help eachother, and don't push or jugde, they let themself feel and sort trough their issues. I'm can't give this book less than 5 stars because it such a huge book for me, but i felt very different reading this one now. I'm not loving it so much anymore but it also made me feel things that i haven't had before. Noah and Echo are special and i'm glad glad to have read them. This book is heavy but it also is hopefull and has its very cute moments. Their story isn;t over yet and now i'm having to decide if i want to continue reading it.

Rating: 4,5 stars

The book is very good, but things like "she smelled like cinnamon and sugar fresh out of the oven." just made me stop reading and stare the wall for a few minutes. Seriously? Someone please tell me who the hell think things like that.
Echo was amazing, well developed, good personality, realistic.
Noah, well, he's great, but not even in another universe i seemed a guy speaking. Some parts were good, but then, suddenly, in the next paragraph he started to compare echo with a siren, etc and I was like "omg, what?"
Actually, the best part wasn't the romance, but the way the two of them acted with their issues, Echo with her family and trauma and Noah with his brothers and the law.

Happy tears and sad tears. Wonderful book.

i’m ignoring the parts when he calls her his “nymph” and his “siren” because other than those MINOR details it’s a 5 star read

wow.wow.wow... I freakin love this book!! I hate crying when I read, but damn you know that's when it is so good! Relating to characters (yes plural in this one) on an emotional level is what keeps me searching for that next great book. Echo, bless her heart, has been through hell and back. She lost her brother, the closest person to her, to the war overseas. If that isn't tragic enough something happened a year ago, she knows it involved her mother and that she almost died. She has the scars inside and out, and a fractured memory of those events. Her dad, the only family she has left is over bearing, and nothing is ever good enough for him. When she mentions wanting to earn money to fix up her brothers old car, her therapists helps her find a tutoring job. She is less than thrilled when she finds out she will be tutoring Noah, the tattooed high school pot head. Each of these young people have their own demons to face, but the journey they take together is beautiful. Spoilers below since we have to wait for 2013 for Beth's story!

****Spoilers****
Echo's mother is an artist, she is also bipoler. She goes off and on her meds insisting they inhibit her creativity. Echo's father is very careful to check her out before dropping her off, but one time he was too busy. His new wife, Echo's old nanny, insists he comes with her to her high school reunion. When Echo calls for help he lets his phone go to voicemail. Her mother is struggling with Aries (her brother) death and is intent on suicide. When Echo shows up her mother decides to bring her along, insisting that they are both hurting and they will all be together soon. Her mother drugs her, and when she falls into a window, instead of helping her she lies down with her to wait on their death. Echo used to be one of the popular people, but after the accident she spends her time trying to keep her arms covered, and wondering what happened that night. Her friend Lila is amazing, she stands behind echo throughout it all, but Grace is a royal f****** bi***. She insists that if Echo puts in a little more effort she can get her old life/boyfriend/popularity back and they can be friends again. (ohhh I hated her) Noah was Mr. All American too, until a house fire killed his parents separating him from his brothers when they were all thrown in foster care. He wants nothing more than to graduate, and get custody of them so they can be a family again. In the end he realizes that despite his awful experience in the system, his younger brothers have a great family that loves them more than anything. He can't provide the kind of life they have now, and knows despite how hard it is, he must let them remain where they are. Their foster parents are so scared of losing them they try to keep Noah from them, but once they are able to move past their fears, they agree that Noah can see them anytime he wants as long as he doesn't take them from their home. In the end both Echo and Noah are headed on a summer road trip, visiting art galleries across the nation to sell Echo's work. In the fall they both plan on returning, and attending the same college. Beth and Isaiah are Noah's best friends. Noah and Isaiah were placed with Beth's aunt and uncle. She spends most of her time there as well because her mother is on drugs, and her mothers boyfriends have problems keeping their hands to themselves. The three of them are like siblings, but in the end it was clear Isaiah and Beth have feelings for one another. Next up is Beth's book!

I've only got one word to describe this book.... Intense! Wow, it was a serious emotional rollercoaster.

This was just so.... Gaah!! Terrifying! Exceptional! Brilliant! Sweet! Intriguing! Suspensful! Shall I go on? I could continue the rest of the day! It was romantic with an ever-present mystery to keep the reader hooked at all times, and as if that wasn't enough, it was filled with insightful and deep thoughts and feelings. I have to say, one of my favorites was this one:
"Touching Echo felt like home"
It's simple and short, but oh so loaded with emotion. It was when this quote appeared before me, that I knew that I was hopelessly, deeply inlove with this book and its charaters, and that there was no going back.
