Just dove into 'Stolen Heir' by Sophie Lark, and let me tell you, it's a wild ride! Picture this: Miko, a tattooed revenge-seeker, and Nessa, an innocent ballerina caught in a dark and gothic world where wolves eat lambs for breakfast. It's like Beauty and the Beast got a mafia makeover, and I am loving it!

Rating this one a solid 4.25 for the forced proximity, slow-burn romance, and all the mafia drama you could ask for. Miko's a grumpy blondie with more tattoos than I can count, and Nessa's the sunshine ballerina who unexpectedly becomes his captive. Talk about a rollercoaster, right?

The pacing is insane – fast, gripping, and before you know it, you're knee-deep in this emotion-packed story. The characters are the real stars here. Miko's got a backstory that adds a layer of depth, and the chemistry between him and Nessa? Off the charts. Despite my initial reservations about the kidnapping trope, the enemies to lovers theme is executed surprisingly well.

The only 'really?' moment for me was the ending – a bit too neatly wrapped up. I like my conclusions with a side of messy, you know? And can we talk about tropes? Forced proximity, kidnapping, slow burn – Sophie Lark ticks all the boxes.

In a nutshell, 'Stolen Heir' challenges your expectations, proving that even in the darkest tales, love shines through. If you're into mafia romance that keeps you on your toes and surprises you with unexpected sweetness, give this one a go. Can't wait to see what the rest of the Brutal Birthright series has in store!

4.5 stars!
I have a confession to make - I read the 1st book of this series in March of last year and then promptly forgot the series existed 😅 But I was really happy to be back in this world! I love Sophie Lark because she gives you more than a little smut and some romance - she gives you an intriguing story! The base plot for this gave major beauty and the beast vibes, but I loved the mafia twist on it, and the pacing was perfect. It was also really fun to see Callum and Aida pop up and see how their relationship developed from book 1. The only gripe I had is that the smutty scenes were a little too long for me sometimes. But still very interested in continuing the series!

I couldn’t put the book down. It was such a good read. I liked how the storyline took place, and how it felt like they actually went from enemies to lovers!

Miss Sophie is on a smut famine … get it because .. they’re Irish … but seriously I’m going to need more than just one scene. But it gains 2 star for beauty and the beast and another because I the 2 characters were cute together

Lots of action in this one. Definitely enjoyed it. This was like the mafia meets Beauty and the Beast. Sweet innocent Nessa gets taken and soon changes the heart of Mikolaj aka the Beast lol
