Maybe I've OD'd on Teen Fiction for a while. Too much telling, not enough showing...
But I did like the evolution of an unhealthy relationship morphing (somewhat realistically) into a good one.

That was one of the best books I've ever read. I laughed a lot. And the ending was emotional.
A lot different from the movie, but both the book and movie are good on their own. I read this really fast. I'm surprised a high school senior wrote this book!
No está mal, sin más. Historia típica romántica y con clichés. Se lee fácil y rápido, entretenido si buscas una lectura sencilla.
Read this book in a day. Super interesting. I loved Bianca. Loved her romantic interests. Great story, somewhat cheesy writing - but worth it.
I read this expecting to hate the typical storyline about a guy essentially negging a girl and then her falling in love with him.... it turned out better than I thought and a passage at the end that addressed slut shaming and insecurity was interesting to me as a hs guidance counselor.
i read it last year and i really liked it. at first i didn't really liked Bianca but then i got used to her. i think they were made to make each other happy. i can't believe they are making a movie completely different out of this. i liked better the original story.
This book really surprised me. It is unlike any YA book I have ever read - smart, quirky...and, dare I say, sexy! I absolutely loved how honest the writing was. This is how teens act and talk! This is the kind of thoughts they have! At least, its what I went through when I was seventeen!
I love the entire message of this book and how the heroine doesn't have to change herself in order to pass that message along. Also, Westley Rush? Umm...hello! This is the first time in any YA book EVER that I have had a serious crush on a book dude. No shame. LOL.

I have seen the movie The DUFF countless times, and I love it, so I was excited to finally read the book. The book was VERY different from the movie. Only the character names seemed to be similar, along with the DUFF acronym, but I still really enjoyed the book. I might have actually enjoyed the book even more than if it had mirrored the movie more. I felt like the main character (Bianca) was easier to relate to in the book than in the movie, and the series of events that unfolds through the book was unique enough that it didn't just seem like a same old, same old teen story. I really felt like I could understand what each character might be feeling and thinking in different situations, and the story moved quickly without leaving me feeling like I was missing anything.
