The fact that Kody Keplinger wrote this at 17 years old both astounds and depresses me (it depresses me because that's two years younger than me, and what have I been doing with my life compared to that?) I feel like this book is does a really good job at tackling the insecurities that a lot of teenage girls go through as they grow and I felt that its final messages about body confidence are a great thing to present to young girls. While it's certainly not groundbreaking, it's a really nice and quick read for a summer day.
Genial, sinceramente genial.

I think this was the fastest I've ever read a book. I've been skeptical of this book for a long time, I thought it would be depressing. However, it was the funniest and most relatable book I've read all year!
Ok well I have mixed feelings about this book, on one hand I loved it amd really flew through it but on the other hand I didn't like it and didn't like what evidently happens in the story. The main character was annoying at times but I really related with her, Wesley is well Uhm ok but I didn't love him. Idk this book was good but not great....
I still love this so much. Kody Keplinger is an impeccable writer and she never disappoints even with reading multiple times.
I think I might be too old to read high school dramas that are just about high school. Because ugh.
I loved the movie, and I was excited to love Bianca all over again. However, I did not like her in the book.
The first half, I was okay with her (though she is super judgmental)and the plot was interestingly different, but the second half became stupid. It dragged out, Bianca didn’t have any reason to lie/omit truths but she continued to do it anyway even when she didn’t know why, and got mad when her friends were mad at her. She is one of the worst MCs I have read, she hardly redeemed herself and her realizations of her actions/consequences were pretty half-assed and only when it applied to her did she feel bad. High school is confusing as hell and someone of it I would have understood and related with but when she prided herself of being smart and a feminist but contradicted those two characteristics and was a total hypocrite, that’s where I drew the line with my tolerance.
The only reason I gave it two stars instead of one was because I liked that the book included alcoholic parents, escapism, and labels.
I’m sorry Alma I made you read this with me!

This is a 4.5 book in my mind, I couldnt decide whether to round up or down. Read it in a day.
