was this perfect? no. but it cured literally every single aspect of my life five stars
It's cute and funny (actual LOL moments) and where the hell can I order a Gideon Prewitt? <3
I just love how Emma Mills is able to capture the awkwardness, buoyancy, and electricity of being young. Not just first loves—friendships, school, family.
Foolish Hearts is my favorite of her novels yet for many reasons, but come on: it’s got theater, and video games, an unbelievably charming space prince, and a protagonist you want so badly to figure it out. Devoured this novel!

This book was SO CUTE!! I cannot believe it has taken me this long to read a Emma Mills book. This is the cutest YA contemporary and a perfect read to get me out of my reading slump. I loved the friendship, the family dynamics, the fandom obsession (reminds me of my Jonah Brothers days), the character growth, and the sweet romances. The absolute best! I cannot wait to read all the books by Emma Mills.

This book tears me apart every time I read it. It's so sad but so funny, and I revisit it so often that it's like an old friend when I pick it up (as stupid as that sounds. yes i know). These might be the realest characters I've met, and that's really the biggest award I can give to a book, other than worldbuilding.
Wow I loved this so much. I didn’t expect it! It’s one of those books where it’s hard to explain why it worked so well — nothing was *new* really, but it was just so snarky and sweet and real and the friendships and sibling-ships and romances were so cute and imperfect but also perfect!
I liked it.
its a quick read but the characters are cute and you want to like them. Claude was hard to like at first she seemed very clingy but she grew as a character nicely.

I picked this up earlier today to see if I wanted to actually read it or just take it back to the library and suddenly I read the whole damn thing. It was one of the best YA contemporaries I've ever read. The writing was great. I loved the characters and that they were flawed, but also lovely. It was just such a nice read. I would highly recommend it if YA contemporaries are your thing!
