I never got around to writing a review for this book, but I loved it so much, so OH MY GOD I have to. I don’t even know where to start. I fell in love with all of the characters. They’re so well developed and they feel REAL. I love love love when characters are so flawed and unique they feel like real people. The small little side stories of this book and the way they all ended perfectly made me smile ear to ear afterwards. Iris and Claudia’s friendship was AMAZING!! F/F friendships that are positive and molded in such a way are not a common occurrence in the YA community, and that exact thing made it work so well.

As a kid who has been involved in acting, the development of the play is accurate! I loved the addition of A Midsummer Night’s Dream in the plot, as well as how it helped build friendships/relationships between the characters involved.

And can I just say... I am head over heels in love with Gideon Prewitt. He is one of the most interesting characters I’ve read. He cares so much and is his own person in the best way possible. If I could read this book over again for the first time I would. The happy feelings I got while reading this are so worth it.

Note: Also the fact that they made Claudia a gamer without making it into her whole personality with a “not like other girls” attitude? Mwah, the flavor!

I’m most definitely rating this book a 5/5. I love this book with my whole heart and I definitely recommend it. It’s not one of those typical fluffy romances. It is deep and meaningful and most definitely was written with care. The inside jokes and small details given to the characters made them relatable and realistic. I feel like I could jump into this book and it would be like real life; it doesn’t have high, unexpected standards.

this might be my new favorite standalone ever it is just that perfect like every subplot....... seamless. baby noah and gideon. best friends since forever

This book is just wholesome and good.

This was a really fun book to ring out my year on. I really enjoyed Claudia's snarky inner monologue. And well, her snarky outer monologue too. lol. And Gideon was so goofy and happy go lucky that I just absolutely adored him. It was a cute and quick read and I am so glad that I decided to dive into it at the last minute!
