Remote Control was a very short but still incredibly engaging novel from Okorafor, obviously, by now I feel like I will love anything she does because of how good she writes in general. I very much like the narrative and the main character, the only thing that did let me a bit down was that none of the major plot elements was explained so basically you're left at the end of the book with still a couple of question like where does the seed come from? What is it? etc...
If I could paraphrase the story without discrediting any of it, you basically follow a little girl with an uncanny ability that she inherited from a green seed that dropped on earth and had by an unfortunate turn of event to leave her small town as she wonders a futurist Ghana for years before, eventually going back home.
Honestly, what I like more so that the narrative itself was the message behind it about technology's effect on us as we develop technologies that become more and more intertwined with our lives as well as the philosophy about the perspective about how to enjoy one's life. It is a good book and a very easy read. If you like Okorafor other works especially the short ones such as Binti, pick this one up it won't disappoint.

I'm a fan of Okorafor's work, but this one was not for me. I struggled to get into it.
