Me ha parecido una lectura interesante y rápida. Aunque no sea la historia mas apasionante y compleja que se pueda leer me ha gustado, es un sencillo libro de fantasía.
Los personajes eran entretenidos y la protagonista era fuerte y difícilmente se rendía, cosa que gusta leer, la historia seguía un buen y rápido ritmo, lo necesario para engancharte a la trama sin ser apresurado y que no resultase pesado o aburrido. Y aunque este tipo de distopias no sean nada nuevo, como primer libro de saga cumple su función, consigue que quieras continuar interesándote de la historia y su desarrollo en los siguientes libros.
Además, una de las cosas que más me gustó fue la ambientación, la forma en la que todo estaba descrito. Cada lugar, como los personajes. Mientras leías siempre podías imaginarte dentro de aquellos escenarios.

Ok, well, I like it, but not a lot. I'm not too fond of love triangles, so...
Mare, I can say I like her, but not a lot. Is something in this book that doesn't allow me to like it totally. And at the end, there're just so many casualties that I don't like, she was about to die like 3 or even more times, and just because yes she survives, one time, I get it, but more of three? I don't know, man.
I know I can't trust Maven! Something about him doesn't feel quite right.
It's all I have to say about this book, I yet need to have the second one, but it's not like so urgent, the final didn't catch me, so it could pass a long time before I spend my money on that book.

You could tell it's her first book, the writing was a bit clunky and the story pretty generic, but it was entertaining nonetheless! I'm excited for the rest of the series, mostly to see her growth as an author, and sure yeah the story can come along 😌

Oh my gosh! I loved this book so much. Mare is probably now one of my favorite female characters and I love how she kept pushing forward. I understood from the start that she was probably going to betray the silvers and stay loyal to the reds but come one, why did they have to do Lucas like that? I loved Lucas, I think he deserved better than that but I mean, as long as Cal keeps going I'm spot on. I can't wait to dive into the second book and then the third and fourth. I am so excited to finish the series and hopefully I do quickly and don't get distracted with a different series.
