Well... Apollyon was pretty much a whole lot of depressing. I'd definitely recommend reading the free e-novella Elixir first, or otherwise the first few chapters will be a bit confusing. There are heart-stopping twists and moments to fangirl over, as well as some comic relief (mostly courtesy of Alex snark, though there are some great Aiden one-liners), but this book has a much darker tone than its predecessors. I think it's mostly because Alex and co. are forced to come to terms with exactly what's at stake, and because a huge part of this novel is the fact that Alex has to fight herself. There's a lot of interesting character development, and while the ending isn't a cliffhanger, it's sort of painful to read.

Oh my God! I can not wait for Sentinel to come out! This did not end well at all and I was left looking for a last page that did no exist. I hate damn cliff hangers now! Why cant authors at least give us a nice conclusive paragraph or something. Ugh!

Apollyon es la cuarta entrega de la saga y comienza con Alex atrapada en una prisión creada por Hermes, sumida en su obsesión por Seth. Durante las primeras páginas, su repetitiva reflexión sobre "Mi Seth" se vuelve tediosa, y los intentos de los demás personajes para que reaccione hacen que la lectura avance lentamente. Sin embargo, la trama toma fuerza cuando se adentran en el Inframundo. Aunque la aparición de Solaris promete ser un punto crucial, la solución que ofrece es bastante anticlimática, dejando la sensación de que fue una simple excusa para recorrer el Inframundo. Lo más destacable del libro es el descubrimiento de Ares como el villano detrás de los eventos desde el primer libro, lo cual resulta impactante.
A pesar de que Seth juega un papel importante, su presencia se desvanece a medida que la historia se enfoca en el viaje de Alex con Aiden. La lucha final con Ares muestra a Alex al límite de sus fuerzas, pero es Apolo quien interviene para salvarla. Aunque el libro mejora después de un inicio lento, sigo sintiendo que hay partes innecesarias que alargan la trama sin aportar mucho.

La historia está cada vez mejor, no puedo esperar para empezar el último libro y ver cómo termina. Este me encanto, sobre todo las escenas del inicio, luego de ahí comenzó a parecerme un poco estancado pero de todas formas te mantiene enganchado.

The 4th book and you are still able to bring a kick ass, totally adorable and not to mention hilarious story to life without it getting old or losing its touch!!!
I love how much the characters grow in this book, especially Alex and how even the minor characters get their own, even though small, shining and touching moments!!
I was brought to tears, suspense and was laughing my ass off during this book and I absolutely loved how Armentrout was able to put in little comic quirks about supernatural, charmed, Harry Potter and even her other awesome supernatural series, Obsidian!!
I am itching for the next and final book and cannot wait to see how it ends!!!
