A 3 1/2 rounded up. I enjoyed the characters quite a bit but I feel like the story was too slow. I tried reading some of the author’s other books before this one and while her writing is descriptive I feel like it really bogs down the story. There’s too much telling and pages worth of monologues as well that slowed the narrative.

I really enjoyed this book! It has a nice plot and an interesting intrigue! It's the perfect mystery and also thriller for every person who loves reading from this genre. The action is complexed and very well detailed. I liked this one!

This book felt like it was written for me specifically. A Robin Hood story? With good character interactions? Featuring Eleanor of Aquitaine? And a lesbian romance? I can't help but wonder if the author read my Christmas list.

I have been binging Robin Hood content recently and this is definitely now among my favorite adaptations. If quarter or half stars were not possible, I would have given this full 5 stars. However, due to certain petty and personal reasons that won't affect anyone else's enjoyment of the story I am giving this 4,75 stars.
