Rating this from from the point of a 10-12yr old… it was pretty good and I would totally read this to my kids someday! I’m sad that this didn’t get a movie adaptation like Ella enchanted did, that would have been amazing!

One of the best books I read as a child and now I just finished re reading it. Absolutely loved it and will definitely re read it again later.
But was Addie 12 like it said in the description? I remember correctly reading a paragraph where it said she was 16 or so when Meryl caught the grey death.

I forgot how much I love this book (although this Rhys is definitely the gateway drug to immortal/mortal romance).

Also he is the superior Rhys. Fight me.

My favorite Gail Carson Levine book. I’ve read it over and over again.
Love the adventure, bravery, and sisterhood in the story. I also think the magic tablecloth is really cool-maybe better than Harry’s invisibility cloak!

I loved this story the first time I read it back in late elementary/early middle school, and I still love it today (speaking as someone in their mid-twenties). It's a book that I love to revisit every now and then, and I can't wait to pass this down to my own kids one day.
