Incredible. The beginning was a bit slow but you quickly get invested. I watched Anne With An E on Netflix when it came out so I knew a good deal about the world of Avonlea but I enjoyed this all the same. I adore Anne and her world.
Matthew’s death made me cry, which doesn’t happen often. Anne’s grief and the initial inability to cry reminded me so much of when my grandparents passed. It was a bit cathartic to be able to relate to a characters grief for once.
I really recommend this series, I’ll be starting Anne of Avonlea in the morning.

"Dear old world," she murmured, "you are very lovely and I am glad to be alive in you."

So, I have to listen to something in order to fall asleep because I'm a ball of anxiety, and lately I've been listening to Rachel McAdams narrate Anne of Green Gables (and she does an AMAZING job, btw). So I'm laying in bed trying to go to sleep when I get to the end, and let me tell you, I cried like a BABY. It definitely did not help me sleep that night😅 (Side note: I think I should add a tag "Books that have made me cry" because this is just getting ridiculous at this point?? I feel like I need to start keeping track🤣)

Anyway this book is now beloved to me, and I firmly believe everyone should read it in their lifetime; excuse me while I go read the rest of the Anne Shirley saga and cry some more!

Also, I want my house to have a name like Green Gables, or Orchard Slope. Why did we stop doing that??

Anne’nin neşeli hallerini okumak çok keyifliydi ve yazım dilinin de güzel ve sürükleyici olduğunu söyleyebilirim.

A very sweet, endearing story. As an adult reading it for the first time, however, I definitely felt a deep and sympathetic kinship with Marilla. As wonderful a girl as Anne may be, I often felt a bit dizzy at her subject-hopping and endless chatter.
