💫I enjoyed all the references like Harry Potter and Kim K, I thought it added personality to the story.
💫There were times when the book had me shook it do a double take.
💫 Resonated with female lead..as often I am deemed as a strong, brave person because I stay incredibly strong even in dark times. I feel I can relate to her strong mentality.
📈 I lost interest sometimes, I wanted more from the book..sometimes it just seemed like rambling.

1)Betty is set up as basically an older roommate who’s in college
2)Alcohol as an excuse
3)Just sleeping with anyone
+A lot of the excuses Izzy has made so far are just written off as a mistake or her being “stupid”.
It’s never really addressed!?!??
+She So does not deserve the friends she has!
4)I don’t like how Danny is already being set up and built as a character - there’s a foreboding sense that he might even go so far as to betray her (understandably) for trampling all over his emotions towards her (of which she refused to address- or at least as so far as I’ve gotten).
5) For a senior going through such strenuous circumstances she really has nerves of steel; unnaturally unnerved.
Her voice is not as mature as it should be…
+Also, having searched for a job for several years I find it highly unlikely that somehow she just couldn’t even find one income stream
7)SHE ACTS ON EVERY IMPULSE!!!
LIKE WHY!! WHY!!!
8)Where are the adults in this story!?!??
I don’t know if it’s because of Izzy perspective but everyone is immediately written off as good or bad and from then on.
9)Izzy’s humor is the type that comes at the cost of someone else’s emotions; not my type of humor; debasing.
+you don’t need to pull someone down to bring yourself up.
+Emotional Damage or reactions due to them are not discussed - at most briefly mentioned.
I’m just not okay with how the general message (“the feminist message”) was being sent out; I can sense it’ll be used a rug to sweep multiple mistakes under…. Perhaps even at the cost of men?
Graphic: Cursing
Moderate: Sexual content
Minor: Death of parent
