Stepbrother With Benefits 1 follows Ethan and Ashley, who have been stepsiblings for three years, and up to this point have had the typical stepfamily issues. They are almost the same age yet are quite different from each other. Ethan is the typical athletic bad boy and Ashley the typical academic good girl. They have just finished their freshman year of different colleges and unexpectedly find themselves at home alone because their parents decided to go on vacation without them. This book covers a few days at the beginning of summer break and the series continues with the rest of summer.

The book is the first in a series of twenty, but can be read as a standalone if you do not want to indulge in the whole series. The book is a short read, yet the author wrapped the story up nicely, so you don’t feel like you HAVE to read the whole series. The main characters have some personal issues to work through; but, overall, this is a sweet and spicy story and worth the time.

in case you didn't get it from the title, Ethan is the stepbrother. We are reminded of this over and over again. Its mentioned over 10 times in 36 pages. there's a lot of repetitive information and it gets old real fast.

Quick read!

A hot, sexy short read. Interesting characters and fun banter between them. Great fun read. Looking forward to reading rest of the series.

This book was recommended to me and it was just okay. I am going to read the sequel to get the full story since it stopped partway through. I did not jive with the writing style. The characters both talked in a way that was repetitive and very similar with to one another. The girl character was touted as so incredibly smart and nerdy, but it did not come through with the character in any way. The guy was way too cocky. It was also weird how they addressed the reader all the time, like they knew we could read their minds.

This book is not my vibe at all, but i have seen a lot of people enjoy it.

Well um ok

I’m a sucker for the step siblings trope but this was just weird and honestly didn’t make a lot of sense. The writing style was first person....but really chatty and in the characters head in an odd way and there wasn’t really much of a storyline.
I really hate being thrown in the middle of a story that could have potential but then it’s ruined by a cliffhanger and having to get another book to keep reading....the characters also swore excessively and the female character was very naive in her head but somehow so suddenly good at sex.
I kinda want to read the next books because I’m a sucker for stepsiblings romance books but I don’t think I can read anymore of this type of story telling. It left me breathless...and not in a good way. But hey as always...judge for yourself if you read.

I actually enjoy the whole narrator-character-talking-to-the-reader thing, so this book was right up my alley. It’s a lot of inner monologue (and outer dialogue) for something that’s basically just smut—but if that’s your thing, it works!

It’s short, it’s hot, and I really liked the MMC. This is good old-fashioned forbidden smut, and I’m rating it purely off vibes. I like the vibes - it is fun, not a noble prize! I did this as an audiobook, and it’s narrated in a duet, which I always prefer; and I enjoyed both the narrators!
