OMINOUS: Book I

K.V. Rose

4.19 AVERAGE

Our souls don’t know how to crawl closer. We run head on, seeing the impact up ahead, but we can’t stop. Or maybe we just don’t want to. We know the wreck will be worth it.

i am obsessed with elieden as much as they’re obsessed with each other ugh. this book was like 800+ pages and I NEVER FELT BORED and that’s saying something because some authors fr can’t write thick books that can keep u hooked, i applause k. v. rose for delivering this masterpiece!! can’t wait to dive into ominous 2

Listen i have nothing to say about this book except you need to read about eli that's it.

Start with ecstasy and you will find the most cold anti-hero and yet you will be curious about him and this is where this book comes in.

So please read it, it's that good

the most deranged people I have ever seen in a book
dark tense medium-paced

"Touch me, so I can see if I hate the way you feel like I do everyone else.”

Eli Adonis Addison 🫠🫠 Never has a character been named so appropriately 🖤That name just fits him so perfectly. But with any good comes the bad. Toxic. Manipulative. Obsessive.  Intense.

But has he met his match? Enter Eden Arabella Rain. Her dark through rival his. The things he's done that scare most people do nothing except light her flame.

KVs books alwavs speak to my dark soul and this one is no exception to that. This book was a ride from beginning to end.
Eli and Eden are a beautiful disaster but there is no one else better suited for each other than these two.
dark emotional

i will never recover from this

Ominous: Book I and the second book in the Ecstasy series by K.V. Rose

Eli & Eden.

These characters. And not just these two in this story, but… also, these two in this story. KV Rose has a way of making each of her characters so real in the simplest of ways. Characters that anyone and everyone can relate to, with their deepest darkest thoughts.

I would also like to point out that I LOVE all the bits of Greek Mythology through out it. It actually made my heart happy!

some of my favorite quotes —
“Bruises and butterfly kisses, from him, I wouldn’t be able to tell them apart.”

“I think, though, the most twisted among us speak in whispers.”

“Despite the storm raging outside, she quiets the one inside of me.”

“Eli is worse than thunder, than lighting. He’s spread out like rain, but more volatile, like wind. Hard hitting like hail. He damages all of me. A fucking hurricane, impossible to ignore.”

“Tempus edax rerum.”
challenging dark mysterious tense slow-paced
Plot or Character Driven: Character

Loveable characters: Complicated

Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

The first 75% but it dragged on WAY longer than it need to have. 3.5 stars realistically

Eli and eden are two people who shouldn’t should even be in the same room together let alone a relationship. I didn’t care about Eli at all in Ecstasy but now seeing some of his backstory was interesting. I’ll def be reading part 2 soon but this is a dark intense read so I’m going to take a little time before jumping in to the next.

Holy shit this was so so good.
I couldn't put it down.

a day later and i'm still thinking about it. first book of the year to send me into a slump. i'm changing my rating to 5 LOL

this is my joker.
