DNF.

i can count on one hand how many plot points i remember from this book however i will not be able to put them in chronological order. the book definitely lost track of itself and by the end i barely knew what was going on. the writing was unnecessarily pretentious at times, which made it difficult to continue reading (i got bored). liek we get it you like the word banal.
i did like how reina (she needs to get a grip) and callum (i actually really liked his character) got more screen time and we got to understand them a bit better. nico was pissing me off for most of this book, parisa felt a little irrelevant and
Spoilershe just became a way to further Dalton’s character arc (WHO I DONT GET)
, and the whole libby thing was super dragged out. they could have solved it in 200 pages if they actually i don’t know talked to each other.
libby and tristan were pretty much the best part of this book, both individually and together. i’m kinda rooting for them and for nicogideon as well.
all in all this book just left me with even more unanswered questions such as
Spoilerwhat the hell is the nature of nico and libby’s relationship ??? and what’s the point of reina’s god complex arc??? what are even some of the characters’ ambitions??
. very excited to see what will happen with ezra’s little circle plus adrian caine in the next book.
