Jennifer Armentrout has done it again. Another great book in the Covenant series.
I enjoyed this book a lot. The story makes a nice progress as well as the characters. We get to see a lot more of the gods and even get a look in the underworld which I enjoyed a lot.
Some old character come back to the story , some in a nice way and some in not such a nice way.
Just a few parts were a little slow in my opinion but it didn’t really affect the overall story.
But overall the book was packed with action, humor and romance. It was hard to put down. The end was just wonderful and very touching.

The characters have grown so much.
I’m happy to see that Alex has matured a lot since the last book and is less reckless. She is still has her snarky humor which I love.
Aiden…. Omg he is just great and I love that he is all open about his feelings now and pretty much tells everyone that he will do whatever it takes to safe Alex. He is even funny, which we didn’t get to see a in the other books.
Seth, he is in the story and not in the story. Mostly through the Apollyon bond. We don’t get to see a lot of him in this book and I can’t wait to see what is going to happen to him.
I really like Apollo and that he is more and more involved.

Overall I give it 4 ½ stars and can’t wait to see how the series ends in the next book.

Favorite Quotes:

“We had no idea what waited ahead of us, other than the big, fat unknown, and most likely a big, fat kick in the face. The gravity of that was killing me-killing us I squared my shoulders. "Release the Kraken!" Several sets of eyes settled on me. "What?" I gave a lopsided shrug. "I've always wanted to yell that since I saw that movie. Seemed like the perfect moment.”

“Alex fainted—" "I didn't faint," I grumbled, feeling my cheeks flush. Aiden's lip curved up on one side. "Okay. She was suddenly not walking or talking anymore. During that time, she saw Seth. Apparently he used Hermes to pull her in." "Hermes?" Apollo hissed—actually hissed like an angry lion. "That little, punk-ass bitch."

“You two should really get a room," Apollo said from out of nowhere. "My poor eyes..." I groaned. Even in his true identity, he still had impeccable timing. "Gods," Aiden spat. He pulled back, casting Apollo a disgusted look over my head. "Do you get off on sneaking up on us?" "You probably don't want to know what I get off on.”

“Wait. Is this book about aliens?” She snatched it back from me. “Yes.” “Really?” “But they’re hot aliens.” She tapped on the guy’s face with one thin finger. “And he can be my ET any day.”

The things that happened in this book... Oh my god...
I can't even imagine the hell that the characters and feeling and going through and, more than anything, I want it to end. I'll be sad to see the series end because I do like it very much. But it won't compare to how happy I'll feel when the characters will finally get to live their lives. Happily. That is, if they don't die first. I'm hoping they won't.

Alex constantly surprises me. She annoys me at time but her strength and her heart amaze me. I'm am so rooting for her. And Aiden because he is such a sweatheart. The chemistry between the two is tangible.

Honestly, the only problem I had with this book was that I felt that I dragged a little. The biginning was great and the end was phenomenal but somewhere in the middle, it felt stratched. But other than that, I can't complain.

Off to the final book...

Sex, Gods and Bloody Battles.
This book made me cry, yes ugly fat tears. It struck deep, with it's travel to the underworld, the death of many loved ones and broken lives.

Y me sigue gustando mucho Caleb✨.

Es una lectura bastante entretenida que se ha ganado sus 5 estrellas porque está muy bien desarrollado ✨.

Jennifer has just wowed me, I simply can't put into words how amazing she is. How she can tell a story like no bodies business. She really is a goddess of words. In Apollyon she proves that. She shows what a great story is made of.

Dear lord, the wait to have this book in my hands was just—ugh!! However, it is well worth the wait! Apollyon is the golden child of the covenant novels, and being back in the world Jennifer created was purely breathtakingly amazing!

‘“He has always been yours, Alex. And you’ve always been his.”

Now, this book will take you on a ride, a really fun, fast-paced, nail biting, exhilarating ride! The things that take place in this book will blow you away!! I mean it; I couldn’t believe everything that happened!! Each character is testing and against all odds, they each shine in their own way.

With the gods being pissed, Alex has a full plate. So guys, when reading this book, be prepared to not put it down!

I have reviewed, almost, every book by Jennifer. I have read every book that is out by her, so writing a review, trying to get across just how much I love her stories and her characters is a challenge. But just no, I’m kind of in love with this author.

Alex also just shines in this book, you also get to see that she is just a normal girl at times, too. She struggles and fights through it all, and just amazes me so much. Though at the first part of the book, I feel, that was the hardest part for me. She faces some of her worst fears within Apollyon and that was remarkable. Oh, and the love that her and Aiden have, it just takes my breath away!! To me, it’s so strong and wonderful. Perfect. Sorry team Seth, I’m all Aiden!! Alex also shows a lot of growth in Apollyon, too.

‘I hoped my expression now looked like Alex the Sex Goddess and not Alex the Spaz.'

And taking about that wonderful hunk of the male species, Aiden is purely awesome! Yeah, awesome! I fall even more in love with him in Apollyon. If that is even possible, but I did. He does everything to save Alex, and yet he also knows that she too is strong. I feel they balance each other out very well, so in my eyes, they are just wonderful together. I got to see a few other sides of Aiden, and I enjoyed that as well. He faces a lot, but in the end, he doesn’t give up. Both he and Alex face challenges in Apollyon and just show the strength characters can have.

You get to see a lot of old characters, some new, and some make a startling appearance. Some I was glad to see, others not so much. My love for Deacon has just grown! I love that kid to death!! You also get to see Marcus in a different light, I’m enjoying this character more and more. I also agree with Aiden, Apollo needs a bell! And Seth fans, just be aware, he isn’t the same, but I can tell deep down there is more to him.
You can feel every emotion the characters feel, and that makes for a great read. You can feel the love of Aiden and Alex, the hope and despair of their situation. You get to experience everything right there with them, and that made me a part of the story also.

The pace of this book was, again, wonderful. The story line has just the right twists and turns to keep you flipping the page to consume as much as possible. You will pull an all-nighter to finish this bad boy of a book! You’ll get to see a whole new world in Apollyon.

‘“I so did not like when Apollo smiled like that.”'

Jennifer’s writing style is just wonderful. As an avid reader, she is really able to pull me into the worlds she creates. I can become completely and wholly consumed into a world she writes. I fall for her characters and I’m on this wonderful ride through everything with those characters.

Apollyon took my breath away, I was so swept away with this book, I started living it. I was there with the characters through everything. This book has everything, twists and turns that will leave you breathless, heart pounding and have you on the edge of your seat. Love that makes you blush and sigh. This book is purely amazing, I can't write all the emotions I am feeling after reading it, just know, this is one of the best books in the Covenant series!

Apollyon was one hell of a ride! And gods, did I absolutely enjoy every single second of it!!

Honestly I am enjoying the story and I’m so worried about where it’s going
