Kinky History is a very interesting deep dive in human sexuality throughout the history of humankind. It acknowledges the quirks and kinks in people's sexuality everywhere and anytime and manages to normalize this. I heavily disliked the set-up and use of euphemisms, and I hope readers can look past this and enjoy this as much as I would want to.

I loved the conversational tone and dinner party set up, making sex and history feel more intimate and real. She did an incredible job navigating topics that people have strong (often negative) feelings about, such as pornography.

This book is full of life, wit, and incredible fun tidbits of history. I thoroughly enjoyed the way the author played with form in this history book. She is able to make it more real by introducing the historical figures, interweaving the themes of a dinner party, and also including her own experience with kink and the journey to it. For anyone who is into sex history this is an amazing book to either start with or fill in the gaps and expand your knowledge.
