Dit boek is perfect voor iedereen die de Emily Wilde serie fantastisch vind. Ik kreeg dezelfde quirky, cozy vibes en moest regelmatig lachen om de awkward gesprekken tussen de hoofdkarakters.

Zie het als Bridgerton meets cozy fantasy. Het deed my heel erg denken aan Ella Enchanted (omg wie kent dit nog!), maar i.p.v. altijd gehoorzaam moeten zijn is ons hoofdkarakter in dit boek simpelweg sociaal enorm onhandig doordat ze maar 'half haar ziel' heeft en dus geen gevoel van angst of verlegenheid heeft.

I enjoyed it. Niet genoeg om de rest van de serie ook op te pakken, maar het was een perfecte cozy read.

This book was laugh out loud funny and felt like reading pride and prejudice with a little bit of magic and faeries. So well written and the characters are lovable and hilarious. Every bit of conflict had a little bit of humor and when things felt tense and like everything might go wrong, there’s always a soft landing. One of my favorite reads of the year.
