Yes, this volume was fire!

So this starts with #1 hero Endeavor and #2 hero Hawks fighting the Nomu. What happens next is even better. Hawks is working with the League of Villains as we see him speaking to Dabi about the plan going wrong. In later pages we see he has been asked to infiltrate the LoV by the police/government. However, we don't fully know who's side he is on. Interesting stuff because Hawks does come across like a hero who is happy to look after himself and take the easy route.

The story then moves to Endeavor trying to build bridges with his family. It makes sense to show us more of him since All Might has become a side character with Midoriya as his opener. Be interesting to see what happens with Endeavor. I can definitely see him dying because of his cocky attitude and then maybe his family forgiving him posthumously...

We find out something really interesting about One for All. Midoriya had a dream or a vision or something where he could see and hear the previous owners of the quirk, One for All. I thought this was cool because it gives us a backstory to this quirk and its origin story.

The best part of this volume though was the introduction of the new characters from Class 1-B and a character called Shinso from Class C of the General Studies. I absolutely loved these new characters because we got to see them battle Class 1-A. I also really liked seeing Tsuyu (frog quirk) in action as she is one of my favourite characters but rarely gets any time on page in action.

Kuroiro can go into any shadow, including Dark Shadow which is summoned by Fumikage Tokoyami's Quirk. He also has a really cool look to him.
Shishida is basically Beast from X-Men but slightly different that he always looks like a beast and isn't blue.
Komori was okay, she is a young student who can put mushrooms everywhere - not seeing much use for this yet.
Manga Fukidashi has the ability to make words that have a sound to them (like sizzle or pop) real so an actual word appears in the world like a weapon or wall.
The class president from Class 1-B is Kendo and she can make her hands really big and their strength increases with the size of her hands. She is a really good class president and better than Ida for 1-A.

I think introducing these new characters who are effectively rivals for class 1-A was fun, clever and brilliant storytelling (since League of Villains are focusing on the pro heroes). The question now is will they be regular entries into the series or not? I really hope they will be back.

Overall I loved this volume, the best one since volume 16 and the second best volume so far. I didn't expect it to be this good because of the cover but obviously never judge a book by its cover!

After that cliffhanger, things kind of start looking up. It's a hard slope, though.
It's a big moment for Endeavor in the beginning of this volume, and equally for his family. I really like Todoroki, so I like where this went, how it affected him and their relationship.
We find out some interesting information regarding the villains and the adult heroes in this volume. I'm still a bit wary of Hawk.
After that, the story goes straight into a new test for our main characters. They're split into teams and given a goal, fighting each other as if they're heroes against villains. It's an interesting set up and challenge for each of them. Admittedly, it's also a little long and winding at times, but that might just be because I'm not a huge fan of all of these characters. The fights do get a little intense at times, and I'm intrigued to see where it goes next with Yaoyorozu. Plus, we haven't seen Todoroki or Deku yet.

A review copy was provided by the publisher, VIZ Media, for an honest review. Thank you so, so much!

(4.5/5☆)

Probably this volume has become one of my favorites so far.
Reading each of the chapters of this volume has been the most exciting, from the beginning to the end (without forgetting the last four chapters of the previous volume).

SpoilerI will emphasize that one of my favorite arcs until now is Pro Hero Arc. This arc has clarified certain things to me but it has also generated more doubts than I already had about one of the most talked about theories, Dabi is a Todoroki.
In this arc reveals several details about Todoroki family, as the name of Endeavor's wife like that of his other two children. It is also revealed that it was Dabi who sent High End (something that I did not expect)
With this I feel that at some point that Dabi's theory will be confirmed, until now there are so many data that point to him as one of them. And the truth is that the wait kills me.
