"The Red-Headed League" is the second story in the [b:The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes|3590|The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes|Arthur Conan Doyle|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1164045516s/3590.jpg|1222101] story collection, the third publication in the Sherlock Holmes series (after the first two novels, so the first story collection).

Holmes is hired by a pawn-broker who has been working for 2 months for the mysterious Red-Headed League, only to turn up one day to discover the offices closed and his manager vanished with no explanation...

A very interesting and unique short story.

this story had a good balance of humor and active case solving, which is always a plus. some parts were less memorable, but overall a decent read.

Somehow, this one was kind of hard for me to grasp. Maybe it's because I was tired or not in the mood, but the story and the turn of events felt a little far-fetched. However, I will admit that it was quite entertaining and unique. I love Sherlock Holmes and am eager to read more of Arthur Conan Doyle's work.

Great one! Did find out who and how but not why!

Adventures of Sherlock Holmes was a fun ride full of interesting mysteries that I mostly solved with easy but still story by story this eccentric detective grew on me and I found myself truly enjoying a book after a long reading slump that was on and off during the whole year.
