I didn’t love this book, but I did enjoy it. It took me a while to get into it. I am having a hard time with the idea of Geraint being an Orkney— something I’ve never seen in an adaptation before. (Poor gaheris) But I liked him a lot, as a stand-alone character and as a romantic interest, and I liked the main character, I thought she was very likeable and relatable. I like Zettel’s female characters and how she writes romantic relationships. I didn’t understand why Morgaine put Elen’s heart back, it kind of just happens. I wish there was a bit more romance than plot if that makes sense— the entirety of their relationship in the book is filled with anxiety and Bad Vibes because they’re so busy, some fluff would have been nice. I’m really looking forward to the next book :)
