SPOILER WARNING:‼️
It was a good read and I wasn’t expecting the end as it was.
The third in a series usually isn’t that great, so it’s not his fault. P.323
It almost felt as if Freida was apologizing here lol. Book three wasn’t bad. But I think there were a few things that could’ve been explained better. I felt like there was a really long lead up to a rather short explanation for everything. I think it wasn’t in Enzo’s nature to go over to Suzette’s that often. I think that was only written to make him more suspicious while we already knew he was a good guy from previous books. So that felt weird to me. And I was kind of angry at Millie and Enzo for not just paying for the broken window. The idea to work for it isn’t entirely wrong but they only knew their neighbors briefly. And they could’ve talked to Nico more and see where he went.

Here are my thoughts while reading:
P31. Two very weird neighbors. Janice puts her child on a leash at the bus stop, like WTH??!. And Suzette seems weird and mean as well. At least I can trust Millie and her family, which is nice.
P91.Idk what’s up with Enzo spending time at Suzette’s. But I trust him. Martha seems a little weird, but she didn’t do anything wrong yet. I think the scratching noise is harmless but who knows.
133 I didn’t expect that I’d cry reading this book. I don’t like the children involved in this. When Millie and Enzo couldn’t find them because they were in this tiny secret room, I started crying as well because I was scared what would come next. I hope the children won’t be in any danger because that’s where I draw the line.
P177 I feel sorry for Nico, something must have happened we don’t know of. Maybe it was when he was at Suzette and Jonathan’s house. And I still trust Enzo although there are things he’s obviously hiding.
P200 So maybe Suzette was abusive ob Nico/ sth like that and that’s why Nico’s behavior changed? Also I don’t know why Enzo and Millie seem to have such trouble communicating. He doesn’t really listen to her worries. However, I think he loves her and really doesn’t mean any harm in talking to Suzette. I don’t know what’s up with Janice though. And Martha might still have a key to Millie’s house, what if she breaks in?!
208 P It looks like Enzo’s cheating, but maybe he’s helping Suzette escape from Jonathan because he’s an abusive husband. Like back in the day. I’m just hoping for a good explanation here
213 What the hell, why’s Jonathan dead? Maybe Martha or Suzette killed him because he was a horrible man inside closed doors? I don’t think Enzo did it, I just trust him.
276 I wonder what the plot twist is going to be. Because right now it’s for sure that Enzo didn’t do it.
291 I SAID DONT GET THE KIDS INVOLVED!!! I’m crying again. Now I’m certain that Mr Lowell did something to Nico and Ada wanted to protect him so she killed him 😭😭😭 But how did no one see Ada??
End. That was crazy. I knew Martha had something to do with it. I also love that Cecelia made an appearance. And I hate Jonathan and Suzette.

The best one in the series. Millie is much more relatable as she gets older. Everything tied in nicely. I will say, though, I hope it ends here.
