As always, this Grey Man novel is a big winner. I love how Greaney continues to develop the characters from novel to novel and keeps us guessing with the storyline. Can’t wait for the next one!

Up all night reading this. My heart was pounding most of the time. Ending was both realistic and slightly heartbreaking but also satisfying.

4.5 stars. I rounded down simply because I felt as if at times Mr. Greaney was a little too “Clancy-ish” in this novel. I know he is a Clancy disciple, but goodness, I don’t need YEARS worth of backstory.

Good/relevant plot. Good character development, but Poison Apple? Really? That’s the best he could come up with.??

TL;DR: If it had a flavour, it'd be Candyfloss-flavoured popcorn action thriller.

Getting close to the end of my year so I’m cranking through easy reads to up my book count. Decent plot and the pandemic portion is surprisingly similar to real life, to what we’ve experienced in 2020 with the COVID-19 pandemic. That isn’t to imply that the story is realistic, just that elements are reasonably accurate.
