Whilst I enjoyed it, it was very hard to get into due to the pace. I first read The Liveship Traders which convinced me to read the entire series as I loved it so much. I hope the second and third book in the trilogy are slightly faster paced :)

This book sent me into a reading slump ~while~ I read it. The exposition was really engaging, but I just could not hold on for the rest

I was worried about liking this just because of the style of fantasy that it is. But I absolutely LOVED this character-drive fantasy story with Fitz at the end. Immediately bought Royal Assassin. Robin Hobb knows how to create the perfect balance between plot movement and character development.
