Should’ve followed my personal rule about avoiding books where the heroine shares my name. It would’ve saved me hours of annoyance. The story started out fine, they had slight chemistry, but it quickly went from 0-100. However, the worst part might be the incredibly contrive and frankly stupid third act conflict. I get it’s to show the hero’s personal growth, doesn’t make it less dumb.

This was really cute. I enjoy a good enemies to lovers story - especially when he falls first. This also had fake dating and co-worker vibes going on as well as a grumpy/sunshine dynamic. Very enjoyable - and it was free on Hoopla - so that's a win for me!

I really loved how this relationship progressed; it was also so obvious that Barrett really liked Chloe from the beginning which I thought was so cute! Also Chloe making all six of her wishes such sweet things was so fucking cute so was Barrett buying the word game and cheating in the game. Going back to the pantry at his moms house to propose was the cutest shit ever too. Chloe seems like such a sweet girl I love that she didn't give a shit about her tiny apartment or getting money from Barrett even though hes literally a billionaire. I also love that they came clean in the end, I was kinda hoping that they would just keep lying and act like they were always together but I think it was a great bit of closure for them both.
