Being the dumb dumb that I am, I blindly bought this without reading the synopsis from a rec I found on social media and you know what… my fault for being too trusting because this was dumb af. Could this not have worked better with her as a college student and keep an age gap??? Because why are the people that are saying she’s just a kid (which is true) the villains???

So far so good!
Big age gaps aren't cute y'all.
It's not the age gap in and of itself alone, it's more the fact that Momoka is a somewhat naive high school student with a celebrity crush.
Said celebrity crush is a 29 year old professional wrestler.
I don't have to explain why I feel immensely uncomfortable with that, do I? I mean, she idolizes him, sends him pictures without really knowing. I know the story WANTS to be cute but holy shit, it's a slippery slope the protagonists are on.

This review will be for the whole series! Read at your own risk!
Total volumes read: 3
So far a cute start!! This follows Momoka who loves pro wrestling, especially the pro wrestler Kuga. They meet after a match and begin a whirlwind “romance” (more innocent flirting than anything) until it’s discovered that she’s only 17, and he’s 29. The age gap can be off-putting to a lot of people but I’m willing to stick around and see what happens. I’m looking forward to the next volume!
Seems like a good manga for those who liked ‘My Love Story!!’ and want something a bit older.
Edit 3/21/21: I’m glad Momoka’s dad is taking this seriously with the age difference. If he didn’t, I think I’d be turned off by the series. I’m looking forward to volume 3!
Edit 4/2/22: still super cute but I’m looking forward to her getting older and it seeming less weird??? I like that she has a new friend to confide in about her relationship.
