Normalizing a 18 year old dating a 29 year old? No thanks.
So cute! I can’t wait for the next volume. I like the age gap trope and this one is good so far. I’m surprised her parents find out about the relationship so quickly. Did the sister nark? Also they don’t look so far apart in age. Looking forward to the next volume!
I love the artwork to this manga so much! Its beautiful
This is a lighthearted romance between Kuga, a professional wrestler, and Momoka, his fan.
She’s always cheered for him whenever he has a fight so they share some tweets, and end up meeting. He instantly falls in love with her, despite being so young.
Actually, I would have rated this higher but I just can’t stand the fact that they have more than 10 years between them –and she’s a minor. Kuga-san is 29 and she’s 17 at the moment, so yeah. Not a big fan of age gaps.
I mean, they’re cute together and I kinda have a crush on Kuga, but even if she’s seen as “more mature than her age”, I would have liked better if she were at least in college.
Also, as a wrestling fan, I was expecting to see more detailed fights but unfortunately is heavier on the fluffy romance.
I know I’ll keep reading the series because I really liked Kuga-san but I can’t rate it higher simply because I’m quite not OK with huge age-gaps.
Read if for the #MiniMangaReadathon.

I initially picked this up because of the cute premise and I thought it was adorable that Kuga was drawn as this heavily muscled man with a soft demeanour. Tough guys with a softer side are totally my jam. I was not expecting that the romance was between a 17-year-old (minor) girl and a 29-year-old man. This wasn't touched on in the blurb whatsoever. When you think of this, AND the extra dynamic that this girl has a major celebrity crush on the man, it just doesn't sit right with me. Relationships between celebrities (Kuga is a celebrity wrestler) and their fans are already inherently problematic. Romantic ones will always have a stark power dynamic, but when you throw in the fact that Momoka is a MINOR, I just have doubts that this "lighthearted romantic comedy" will be able to handle this highly delicate situation with the deft hand it needs.
I'll continue with the series because I've already bought the next 2 volumes, but I'm really disappointed.
Just, like, why couldn't Momoka be a college student? A cute & fluffy romance between 2 ADULTS??

This is an age gap romance so if you don't like that idea, do not pick this up! There is an 11 year difference between the hero and heroine.
3.5 rounded up since I saw a lot of low reviews because of the age gap.
This is a cute start and is exactly what it says it is. I enjoyed seeing a more tender side to Kuga and would be interested to see how this progresses.

What a cute little story! I can't wait to read part 2.
